What We Collect
Job^Rush collects the personal information described on this page to run the directory.
Account details: your name, email address and phone number, and for an employer, your business details.
Profile information: your headline, skills and suburb, and the education, courses and work history you add, if you are a job seeker.
Optional personal details, if you choose to give them: a title (Mr, Ms and so on), your year of birth, your nationality, the languages you speak and write, and whether you have the right to work in Australia. Every one of them can be left blank, and leaving one blank does not stop you using anything on the site. We ask for the year of birth only, never the day or the month.
Your CV, if you upload one.
Job ads you post, and their details.
Applications you make, and your answers to an employer's questions on an ad.
Interview bookings made through the site's calendar.
Candidate records: if you are a job seeker, an employer's record of your interview or training attendance, no-shows, and whether you were hired (see the Terms).
Messages you send through the site: Contact Us, an investor enquiry, or a Talent Search contact.
Payment records, without your card details: card payments are handled by our payment provider, not stored by Job^Rush.
Contact form messages, including your name, email and whatever you write.
Why We Collect It
We collect this information to run the directory: to create and manage your account, publish and match job ads, process applications, arrange interviews, take payment for the services that cost a fee, and respond to messages sent through the site.
Who Sees What
As a job seeker, you see your own applications, interviews and profile.
As an employer, you see the applications made to your own ads, including the CV attached to each one.
Candidate records are shown to employers only, never to the job seeker they are about.
Of the optional personal details, an employer you apply to sees your title, the languages you speak and write, and your work rights. Your year of birth and your nationality are not shown to employers and are not in Talent Search: they are visible to you and to Job^Rush's own admin staff only.
Every job seeker is listed in Talent Search. Employers there see your name, headline, suburb, skills, your latest job and education, and your record. They do not see your CV or your email address: an employer receives your CV only with an application you send to one of their ads.
If you order a CV review, your CV is sent to the professional reviewer who takes the job, along with your name and your email address, so that they can do the review and send it back to you. Reviewers work for Job^Rush on that one review, are told to use your CV for nothing else, and are asked to delete their copy once the review is sent. Nobody else in the pool receives your CV: the offer they all see carries only your first name and the type of document.
Job^Rush's own admin staff can see what is needed to run the site and to answer support requests.
Retention
Your CV is kept while your account is open. When you remove your account on My Profile, the account and its data are deleted at once, including the CV copies sent with your applications.
Candidate records (interview and training attendance, no-shows and hires) count towards a job seeker's record for 24 months.
Job^Rush may keep ad reports (how often ads are seen and opened) and candidate records, including after the account they relate to is removed, and may use them to improve the service in the future.
A record that an email was sent, not its full content, is kept in our mail log.
If you change or remove only your profile CV, the CV copy attached to an application you already sent stays with that application.
After an account is removed, its payment records are kept for tax purposes, without the account's name. Candidate records about a job seeker are kept too, linked to the email address in coded form, and return to an account opened again with that address; records an employer made stay in the job seekers' records without the employer's name.
Counting Without Tracking
We count how many times an ad is seen in a list, and how many times its own page is opened, once per visitor per day. The count is based on a one-way hash of your network address, your browser and the day, so the same visitor is not counted twice in a day; the address itself is never stored.
Cookies
Job^Rush sets two cookies: a login cookie, kept for a year, and a session cookie for the length of your visit. Neither is used for advertising, and Job^Rush sets no advertising cookies at all. Two third parties are involved in serving the site: the forms use Google reCAPTCHA, which loads a Google script and may set Google's own cookies, and the site is delivered through Cloudflare, which may set a technical cookie of its own.
Emails
Job^Rush sends activation, application, interview and payment receipt emails from the site. Every email sent is logged.
AI Features
Job^Rush can have an AI read your CV in two ways: to fill in your profile from it (the CV import), and to write an AI CV review. Each happens only when you ask for it, by buying it. There is no automatic scanning of anything you upload.
When you do, one CV file is sent to Anthropic, the maker of Claude, which reads it and sends back its answer: the CV on your profile for the import, the CV you ordered a review of for the review. Nothing else about you is sent with it: not your name, not your email address, not your account.
What the import finds is added to your profile straight away, and you can edit or remove any of it afterwards. It never overwrites a headline or skills you wrote yourself.
An AI CV review is kept with your order, so you can read it again on My CV Reviews. It is written by an AI and can be wrong: it is advice, nothing more.
An AI review also produces your CV rewritten as a PDF. That file is kept with the order in the same private storage as the CV you sent, it is not added to your profile and no employer can see it, and it is deleted with your account.
Our own record of each call is the date, which feature it was for, how long it took, how many tokens it used and what that cost. Job^Rush keeps no separate copy of what the AI read: the contents of your CV are not stored in that record, and for the import neither is the text that came back. That record is deleted with your account.

Your Choices
You can edit your profile at any time.
You can remove your CV from your profile.
You can use the site without ever using an AI feature: they are optional, paid for one at a time, and never run on their own.
You can change or clear the headline, skills, work history and education that Talent Search shows.
You can withdraw an application you have made.
You can remove your account yourself on My Profile: the account and its data are deleted at once.
